In the beginning there was Eru Ilúvatar. By his thoughts and ideas, the Ainur came into existence. She is one of many. But one of the few deemed Valar. One of the eight Aratar. She weaves sorrow and mourning into The Great Song. ℓαмєηтαтιση is her muse. She watches alone, listens to the chaos that has been woven into the song and feel for the destruction it causes but through her melodies and reflections one can learn patience.
Perseverance is her preaching. Forgiveness and mercy her favorite tools. By her tears, everything is purified and hallowed so that the mysteries can dance with the Music as it unfolds. It is thanks to her the sun and the moon exist. With her grief she wipes away impurities.
She travels not to Valmar, where her comfort is not needed. Visits instead the Halls of Waiting where her brother Mandos rules. She herself rules the Halls of Nienna on the west coast of Aman. Her concerns lay with the suffering of others. She is an eternal observer.
Some have studied under her as she conducts her part of The Great Song. From her actions she hopes to instill hope through grief. Resilience through hardship. Forgiveness for enemies who may be the least deserving of it. Her own seeming to be never ending. She spoke on behalf of Melkor, despite mourning the damage he wrought to Arda.
Her name is Nienna.
