Nienna
In the Music, she took little part. But listened intently until the end.
All her love is mingled with ᴩɪᴛy.
For she is the mighty who cries for all the unjust and terrible things that happen in the world, but she is also the one that teaches endurance and wisdom through adversity.
❝I don’t know, actually–– – I’ve never seen another person before. Except for my mother but then again–– – thankyou?❞
« Your mother ? » It’s a word that rolls off her tongue, and she does not like the taste of it. « …does she care for you then? » — she knows the real answer, but must confirm. Are there any doubts this young woman has thus far?
Around Elrond, Nienna would likely attempt to be more lighthearted. Making little jokes that he would only understand because of his age – she is also quite terrible at jokes and is well aware of it. She’s not exactly meant to be humorous so she would do so in hopes of making him laugh. Either at the awful joke or at her attempt to come up with a joke herself.
Nienna somewhat envies Ossë’s range of emotions – she herself is very monotone in that she is typically sad or hopeful but irritation is never something she feels. When interacting with Ossë she pays special attention to the rise and fall of his voice and how his expression and body language match up to those things. She enjoys the variety.
Around Fëanáro Nienna is overly polite, even for herself. She is fully aware of his dislike and skepticism and actively avoids being criticized more than necessary.
People act ever so slightly differently depending on who they are around. Send me a ◭ and I’ll tell you something my character does or would likely do around yours that is unique or specialized to their interactions.
“What will become of him? I cannot say. I grieve that so much that was good now festers in the tower. Still for us things have not gone badly. Strange are the turns of fortune! Often does hatred hurt itself!”
•∰ A reasonable question for the moment considering the fact that they, too, were not ones so easily avoided.
❝Mere chance.❞
It should not come as a surprise to her, for so rarely she glances anywhere that does not have to do with men and their trials. Though he may take part in it, she feels fool for paying so little attention.
« I see. Do you care for the formality of an introduction? I do not wish to offend. »
